I have arrived in Traverse City where, as most of you know, I'll be going to Northwestern Michigan College. I still haven't unpacked, but it's amazing to be here! Even though it's hot and sticky I live right on the water!!!!! *sigh* I stopped at the beach on my way home from school the other day and just laid in the sand and listened to the water. That will most definitely become a routine for me. It was a good time to debrief from the day, pray, take a deep breath and just be still.
Had a few issues with classes/crabby people, but I think that's all behind me. I can't wait to start! I'm taking 5 classes: Accounting Principles I, Business Math, Business Law I, Electronic Spreadsheets, and Intro to Prob and Stats.
My exciting story: First day on campus I locked my keys in my truck. So I got to meet the security guy since he let me borrow a screwdriver. Bleh!
My praise report: God is already opening the door for a job for me up here! He is so good :)
Well, I'm starting this blog to keep everyone updated (and because my dad can check this one....and keep track of me ;) Love you guys...leave me a comment if you made it to the site OK!

Yes!!! State Farm did not lock me out of the site so that was a nice surprise. It was exciting to hear how your day went today versus yesterday. I am totally coveting that beach thing...actually the whole Traverse thing...which is really nice in the Fall. Have a great day...Love, Dad
Tallie girl, I'm bummed.....I was hoping to see you before you left. There's an email waiting for you in that regard. HOWEVER, I'm thrilled (and Bill will be, too) that you are safely there and getting settled in. The keys in the truck......this is a test, only a test. I'm with your dad....beach and Traverse in the fall.....my kinda of place. (So that makes 2 of us wrestling with one of the 10 commandments.) I look forward to checking this site and staying in touch with what's happening in your life, how God is working (a job almost already .....He IS faithful!!!), and being part of your encouragement team.
Will you still be able to be reached at your email? Cause, you know I get pretty long winded. :o)
Well, since our computer was struck by lightening, I've buddied up with lots of tech. support people for hours on end. Today was no different because my Pampered Chef program had a glitch so "Ken" helped me out. This is a test...... I'd best get off this necessary evil called a computer and start supper, etc.

Wow Tallie, I am so excited for you. My parents keep raving about how beautiful it is up there. Pretty fitting I must say for you (an absolutely beautiful girl) to be up in such a place. God is so good and I am so excited to hear about the job and everything. I miss you already but it will be a great semester for you. God blessings be yours as you proceed through this semester.
